Ho deciso di realizzare un’alzatina per torte o dolci di Natale (ma che va bene tranquillamente per tutto l’anno) fai da te partendo da pochissimi materiali! Ora che il mio progetto di DIY è concluso posso finalmente parlartene! Ci tengo a precisare che per questo progetto occorrono una base, un piatto di ceramica o asse circolare di legno, dei colori acrilici (facoltativi) ed una buona colla (stile la millechiodi o la attack per intenderci)!
Ammetto che non vedevo l’ora di potertene parlare! Ma per farlo ho atteso meticolosamente che tutto si asciugasse (colla compresa) per verificarne la tenuta!
DIMMI SE E’ CAPITATO ANCHE A TE!
Spesso mi è capitato di andare in giro per negozi di casalinghi e di cercare un’alzatina per le mie torte (minimal, semplice, monocolore, dal design pulito) e di rimanere delusa!
Troppi ghirigori, troppe elementi ridondanti, colori troppo lontani dai miei gusti… Insomma son sempre uscita a mani vuote! Quando stavo per rinunciarci mi è venuta la grande idea: ispirarmi su Pinterest!

Dopo aver letto un po’ di articoli e aver capito in linea generale le modalità di esecuzione ho pensato di realizzarla a modo mio!
Non volevo sentirmi legata o frustrata nel non trovare nello specifico questo o quello! Ad ogni modo, più’ avanti troverai la procedura che ho eseguito io passo passo!
Alla fine dell’articolo invece, come sempre, ti lascerò qualche piccolo consiglio personale e quelli che per me possono essere considerati i punti critici di questo progetto di fai da te. Ponendoci attenzione otterrai proprio il tipo di alzatina che fa per te!
OCCORRENTE per la realizzazione di un’alzatina fai da te come la mia e possibili varianti!
- Una base a scelta tra un vecchio vaso (come il mio), un portacandele, una mug o tazza senza manici, persino un barattolo di latta o un barattolo per penne in legno!
- Per la parte superiore invece potrai scegliere tra: un tagliere circolare in marmo o in legno (come nel mio caso), un piatto vecchio piano (anche di quelli per pizze), una teglia per il forno rotonda con bordino arrotondato!
- Una buona colla, io ho dato fiducia ad una marca sconosciuta simil attack e ha funzionato alla grande! Altrimenti van bene anche quelle per modellismo stile Uhu, Millechiodi o Attack.
- Colori acrilici e per fissarli l’immancabile sigillante Mod Podge finitura opaca o lucida a seconda dei gusti! Se vuoi sapere a cosa serve questa finitura ne ho parlato in questo articolo, clicca qui.
- Pennelli normali o pennelli di schiuma per dipingere la tua alzatina.
PROCEDIMENTO: Come si realizza una alzatina per un centrotavola perfetto!
Per prima cosa andremo a posizionare esattamente al centro della parte inferiore della nostra base per torte il rialzo della nostra alzatina. Aiutandoci con una matita a mano libera disegneremo il contorno in modo da avere poi una traccia per la fase di incollaggio.
Arrivati a questo punto si inizia con la pittura delle due componenti. Il colore desiderato lo potrai ottenere o acquistando una vernice acrilica già pronta o, come nel mio caso, andando a miscelare due o piu’ colori che hai già in casa!
Io consiglio di dipingere per bene un metà alla volta, una volta asciugate le nostre componenti si passa a colorare la restante parte.
Importante: nella parte ineriore ricordati di non pitturare il cerchio che hai disegnato a matita all’inizio. Ti servirà come punto di repere per incollare con precisione e al centro i due pezzi.
I tempi di asciugatura dipendono dalla temperatura ambientale, dall’esposizione o meno al sole o ad un termosifone (ad esempio) e dalla quantità di colore steso. In generale bastano un paio d’ore. Come prova basterà sfiorare il prodotto per rendersene conto. Una seconda mano è quasi sempre d’obbligo.
Quindi ripetere da capo questo passaggio.
Quando sarà asciutta anche la seconda mano si potrà passare alla stesura del sigillante Mod Podge. Questo prodotto asciugherà piu’ in fretta. Non abbondare con il prodotto in questa fase, altrimenti potrebbero formarsi delle bolle.
Ora che anche il sigillante è asciutto possiamo passare alla fase finale di “saldatura” delle due componenti.
Visto che abbiamo lasciato il segno con la matita possiamo applicare un sottile ma coprente strato di colla sulla parte della nostra base che andrà a sorreggere il disco/piatto su cui andrà la nostra torta.
A seconda del tipo di colla utilizzata dovremo attendere il tempo necessario per far asciugare la colla.
A questo punto direi che l’alzatine è pronta!
Ora non resta che sfornare una deliziosa torta, far partire una playlist natalizia e provare l’effetto che fa vedere la casa impregnarsi di odori (hai già provato ad essiccare le arance fai da te?! Per saperne di piu’ clicca qui) e tingersi di colori natalizi!
consigli per apportare alcune modifiche al progetto!
Ci tenevo arrivati fin qui a precisare che la verniciatura della nostra alzatina con colori acrilici non la renderà una superficie adatta per poterci appoggiare sopra tal quale un prodotto alimentare.
Cosa significa tutto questo? Semplicemente dovremo avere l’accortezza di interporre tra la nostra bellissima torta e l’alzatina della carta forno o dei dischi sotto torta che si trovano facilmente in commercio. Quelli dorati per intenderci!
Per quanto riguarda la pulizia, se adotteremo l’accortezza che ti ho appena specificato, basterà passare un panno umido sulla nostra alzatina all’occorrenza.
Se questa cosa proprio non ti va giu’, non disperare! Puoi optare per realizzare una bellissima alzatina fai da te in materiale adatto al contatto con i cibi. Alcuni esempi: legno, marmo, piatto di ceramica, etc. L’importante sarà lasciarli tal quale. Senza quindi effettuare il passaggio della verniciatura!
Ti lascio qui sotto un esempio perfetto in stile naturale che tra le altre cose richiederà molto meno materiale e molto meno tempo! Basterà infatti incollare semplicemente le due componenti e l’alzatina è fatta!
Prima di iniziare ricordati di…
Per semplificarti il lavoro verifica che il piatto che hai scelto non abbia troppe linee nella parte inferiore e che combaci bene con la parte che andrà a supportarlo! Altrimenti, se ci saranno interferenze tra questi due piani, la colla potrebbe non aver superficie adatta per poter svolgere il suo lavoro e quindi l’alzatina non si reggerà.
Altra cosa importante prima di iniziare è munirsi di un metro o di un righello abbastanza lungo, ti aiuterà a calcolare il punto esatto del centro della tua base! Se uno dei due prodotti è nuovo e presenta etichetta molto utili saranno una raschietta e una gomma da cancellare per rimuovere il prezzo, come nel mio caso!
